Physical therapy session at ADAPT: clinician guiding a kneeling mobility exercise
Overview

Where Performance Therapy fits in the system.

Orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological. Pain is information. Our PTs use a movement assessment to find what your body is compensating for, restore the movement that's missing, then reinforce it with strength training the moment you're ready. It's not a handoff to training; it's the same system, the next session.

The PT Evaluation is the door in for anyone dealing with pain or injury: 60 minutes with a licensed Physical Therapist. Pain is information; we use it to find what your body is working around, then your plan threads whichever parts of the system you need, moving you into training the moment your body is ready.

Inside Performance Therapy

How the system shows up here.

Physical Therapy Evaluation

Where we find what's really driving the pain.

Postural pictures and a full movement assessment to establish a clear baseline. We find where your body is compensating, the movement vulnerability underneath the pain, so the plan is anchored to how your body actually moves, not how it's supposed to.

ADAPT Performance Therapy

5–10 sessions, one practitioner, one plan that builds.

Every session is with the same PT, building on the last: restore better movement, then reinforce it. You leave with a routine of your own and a progress reading every visit: symptom relief, motion gains, strength markers. Numbers, not vibes.

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)

PIP-covered care for whiplash and soft-tissue injuries.

We bill PIP insurance directly and coordinate with your treating physician, so the paperwork is our job, not yours. The recovery plan works the same system we use everywhere: find what the collision changed, restore it, reinforce it. Common injuries: whiplash, neck and shoulder strain, low back, headaches, jaw.

Return to Sport

Three-session program for joint sprains and muscle strains.

The bridge between PT discharge and your sport: same system, next step. We reinforce the movement around the injury so the first session back isn't a setback. Built for athletes, and for anyone who plans to keep moving.

Breakthrough Group Training (BGT)

Clinician-led therapy, small enough to stay personal.

A licensed therapeutic practitioner works with up to 9 clients at once, reinforcing better movement at a level that keeps challenging you. The same system you'd get one-on-one at a lower per-session cost.

What we treat / who we serve

Common reasons people come in.

A

Post-surgical recovery

Knee, hip, shoulder, spine. We coordinate with your surgeon's protocol and progress you back to full activity.

B

Auto accident & MVA

PIP-covered care for whiplash, soft-tissue, and orthopedic injuries from auto accidents in the Beaverton area.

C

Sports rehab

ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff, tendinopathy. Return-to-sport testing built into the plan.

D

Chronic pain

Low back, neck, hip. Pain is information. It points us to where your body is compensating, not just the joint that hurts. We look at posture, movement, and strength to find it.

E

Pre-surgical conditioning

“Prehab”: stronger before surgery means faster recovery after. Common before TKA, THR, and ACL.

F

Direct access · cash-pay

Oregon allows direct access: see a PT without a doctor's referral. PT is cash-pay; the only insurance we bill is Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA / PIP).

Pain points we treat

Pain is the entry. Movement is the plan.

Each of these has its own page covering what it feels like, why it happens, how we restore it, and what to expect. The pain is the entry point; the plan is about finding what your body is compensating for and rebuilding it. Direct access in Oregon means you can start any of them without a referral.
