Build the physical capability to keep showing up for what matters most.
ADAPT is one integrated system of Performance Therapy and Training, built so active adults can participate fully in the life they want to live.
It starts with a conversation.

What we believe
One of the greatest gifts we can give, to ourselves and the people we love, is preparing our bodies to keep showing up for what matters most.
Skiing black diamonds at 70. Hiking mountain ranges on the other side of the world. Another Spartan Trifecta. Your next half marathon. A heavy pack carried deep into the wilderness. Chasing your grandchildren across the park. Traveling without wondering whether your body will cooperate.
Whatever it is you're not done doing, that's what we're here for.
At ADAPT, everything we do is designed to reinforce Integrity of Movement, because lasting physical capability begins with how your body moves, adapts, and performs over time.
Wherever your body is today,we have a plan.

The ADAPT difference
Performance Therapy and Training aren't two separate services. They're one integrated system.
Most people get rehab one place and training another, and the two never talk to each other. At ADAPT it's the same system either way. The same assessment, the same movement principles, the same plan. We find where your body is compensating, restore better movement, and reinforce it.
There's no handoff between rehab and training. It's one system, applied to wherever your body is that week. Pain may be what brings people through our doors. Building the capability to keep doing what matters most is why they stay.

“I came in after a knee replacement convinced I'd never hike again. Two years later I'm in the mountains every weekend, and back in the gym three mornings a week. ADAPT didn't fix me. They taught me how to keep getting better.”

“I've been attending group fitness classes at ADAPT since 2019 and have experienced each class they offered. Since attending ADAPT, I have experienced less over-use injury and more comfort and confidence while hiking, backpacking and cycling. A big shout out to Carly, Caitlin, Jessica, Eric and Sheldon.”

“Coach Sheldon and the whole team have been excellent. Auto accident left me with whiplash and a wrecked low back. Six months in, I'm back to skiing. Honest, evidence-based, and they listen.”

“Sixty-eight years old. Came in for shoulder pain, stayed for the strength classes. The PT and the trainers are on the same team. Nobody else does that. My golf swing has never felt better.”

“I had a stroke in 2022 and was told to manage expectations. Nobody at ADAPT manages expectations. They raise them. I'm walking, lifting, and back to gardening. The Advanced team is something special.”

“I needed some adaptations to the exercises and Carly did great with that. I like how she checked in with me to see how I was doing. This was my first class in over 6 years. I have worked hard to get to this point. She gave me the confidence to know I can do this.”

“I always feel so much better after going to ADAPT. Even after I've been away awhile, Jessica made me feel so welcome, seen, and missed. She cares for her clients. You will feel a difference after a class there. You are never too old to join.”

“Careful feedback and attention to your individual needs makes these trainers the best I have ever worked with. Also a great community of people: chill, supportive, and kind.”

We don't build stronger bodies simply to move better. We build stronger bodies so people can keep showing up for the people, experiences, and activities that matter most.

Questions

No. Oregon has direct access, so you can come straight to ADAPT: no referral required. PT is cash-pay; the only insurance we bill is Motor Vehicle Accident (PIP). Ask the front desk during your PT Evaluation, and we'll walk you through it.
A free 60-minute first visit with Courtney Bryan, our Director of Training. We talk through your history, watch how your body actually moves, find where it's compensating, and write you a plan: strength, capability, or performance. No referral, no commitment, no charge. If pain or injury is your priority, book a Physical Therapy Evaluation instead. That's a separate intake with one of our licensed PTs.
No. Our room skews older on purpose. Most of our members are active adults 40+ rebuilding strength for the decades ahead, not chasing the next bikini season. You don't have to keep up with anyone here; the system is built around where your body is today. You'll be in good company.
Yes. We treat MVA-related orthopedic injuries, whiplash, low back, soft-tissue, and coordinate with PIP and third-party carriers. Bring your claim info to your first visit and we'll handle the rest.
We're at 9923 SW Arctic Dr in central Beaverton. Members come from across Washington County and SW Portland: Cedar Hills, Aloha, Hillsboro, Tigard, Cedar Mill, Bethany, Raleigh Hills, and SW Portland in particular.
Youth through masters: high school athletes chasing scholarships, weekend competitors who refuse to slow down, and everyone in between. It's the same system across everything we do, built to meet every body in the same room.
Small by design. Small-group personal training caps at 6, and our larger group training classes run up to 36. The point is the same either way: the coach actually coaches, cueing, modifying, and progressing you individually, around where your body is today. The exercise is not the point. The purpose behind the exercise is the point. Come in about three times a week. That consistency is what holds the gains, and the 12-visit board on the wall keeps you honest about it.
Yes. Courtney is a certified Pre/Post Natal Exercise Specialist and trains members through every trimester, and back to full strength after. Same system, adapted to where your body is right now.
