Industrial Athletics
Keeping your industrial athletes in the game: prevention, intervention, performance.

Where Industrial Athletics fits in the system.
22 years treating physical workers as the athletes they are. ADAPT Industrial takes the same movement system that built our practice, assess, restore, reinforce, to the floor of waste management, manufacturing, construction, and energy facilities. The result: a 37.6% reduction in recordable injury and DART frequency for partner companies. Less time off the line. Lower workers' comp costs. Healthier, more durable crews.
The Game Planning Session is the door in for training: 60 minutes with Courtney, our Director of Training. We look at how you move, find what's getting in the way, and write you a plan that threads whichever parts of the system you need. You don't have to figure that out in advance. We figure it out together.
How the system shows up here.
Prevention: Durability Program
On-site movement programs that keep crews out of the comp queue.
Three short sequences built into the shift cycle: Shift Preparation (3–5 min before work) gets the body moving the way the job will demand. Reset (1–2 min, 1–3× per day) keeps it there. Post-Shift recovery flushes the load that accumulates across a shift. Built for the floor.
Intervention: Early Systems Intervention (ESI)
Catch the injury before it becomes a claim.
When a worker reports discomfort, ADAPT's ESI process kicks in: Evaluate → Assign → Instruct → Assess Results → Progress. Discomfort is information. We address what it's pointing to while it's still a discomfort, before it becomes a soft-tissue injury and a recordable.
Performance: Job Hardening + Return-to-Work
From PT discharge to full-duty, without a setback.
We replicate the actual job so the first day back isn't day one of recovery again. Job-specific conditioning, progressive loading, and direct coordination with your medical team and case managers. The same system, carried through to the floor.
On-Site Workshops & Education
Train your worker-athletes in their own environment.
On-site or in-clinic workshops on body mechanics, lifting, hydration, and recovery. The point isn't the workshop. It's giving crews ownership of how their own bodies move, so durability lives with them, not with an outside provider.
Common reasons people come in.
Soft-tissue injury reduction
Sprains, strains, and overuse injuries. The leading cause of lost-time claims in industrial work. Our durability programs measurably reduce them.
Lower-back & shoulder load
The two highest-cost injury sites in physical work. Targeted prevention programming for both before they break.
Return-to-work without re-injury
The next step from PT discharge back to full-duty. We replicate the actual job demands so day one back isn't day one of recovery again.
Pre-employment functional capacity screens
Match candidate capacity to actual job demands. Catch the risk before it becomes a claim.
Workers' comp & case management coordination
We work directly with your insurer, case manager, and treating physician to get people back to work safely and on schedule.
Crew durability culture
Workshops, daily reset routines, and ownership-building education. Consistency is what changes the body, daily reps, not one workshop, so durability becomes how your crew works, not a thing they sat through.
Pain is the entry. Movement is the plan.
Each of these has its own page covering what it feels like, why it happens, how we restore it, and what to expect. The pain is the entry point; the plan is about finding what your body is compensating for and rebuilding it. Direct access in Oregon means you can start any of them without a referral.
Advanced (Neuro)
See how your
body actually moves.
It starts with a conversation. Book a Game Planning Session: sixty minutes with a coach or PT. We'll look at how you move, find what's getting in the way, and write you a plan for what you want to keep doing. No referral, no commitment, no charge.
