• A 9-12 month arc. We reinforce it the whole way, because the rushed 4-month return is what re-tears ACLs
  • Coordinated with your surgeon's protocol from week 1
  • Numbers, not vibes: objective return-to-sport testing before you go: limb symmetry, hop, force-velocity

What you're feeling

Is acl post-surgical recovery starting to shape what you'll do and what you skip?

ACL reconstruction restores passive stability, but neuromuscular control, quad strength, and dynamic balance have to be rebuilt over months, not weeks. Most re-injuries happen within twenty-four months of return-to-sport, and the strongest predictor is incomplete rehab. The work is real, and the timeline is longer than most clinics will tell you.

What we usually hear
  • A.Quad weakness and atrophy on the surgical side
  • B.Difficulty with single-leg balance and confidence
  • C.Knee stiffness: bending or straightening fully
  • D.Hesitation with cutting, jumping, or deceleration
  • E.Fear of re-injury that shadows return to sport

How the system works

From your first visit to moving better for good.

01

Find it.

A 60-minute first visit with a PT or coach: postural pictures, a full movement assessment, baseline numbers. We find where your body is compensating, not just the joint that hurts.

02

Restore the movement.

Manual therapy, targeted programming, progressive loading, aimed at the movement vulnerability driving the pain, not around it. Same practitioner every visit, and the plan adjusts as your movement changes.

03

Reinforce it.

When your tissue can take it, the same system carries into classes and small-group training, reinforcing better movement about 3x a week until it's just how you live. Members come for relief and stay for years because the system keeps progressing.

How we work

Our approach to acl post-surgical recovery.

We coordinate directly with your surgeon's protocol. Phased rehab from acute (motion, swelling, quad activation) through strengthening (loaded posterior chain, single-leg work) into return-to-sport (plyometrics, change-of-direction, contact tolerance): find the gaps, restore the capacity, reinforce it under real load. The 3-session Return to Sport program at the end puts numbers on your readiness, limb symmetry, hop testing, force-velocity, before you go. Numbers, not vibes.

I came in after a knee replacement convinced I'd never hike again. Two years later I'm in the mountains every weekend, and back in the gym three mornings a week. ADAPT didn't fix me. They taught me how to keep getting better.

Sixty-eight years old. Came in for shoulder pain, stayed for the strength classes. The PT and the trainers are on the same team. Nobody else does that. My golf swing has never felt better.

It is times like this that I truly wish there was a 6 star option. From the initial visit to the coaches checking in with my progress after classes, I could not be happier with my ADAPT experience. They have exceeded all my expectations.

Why ADAPT

Five reasons members come, and stay for a decade.

01

One system, not a handoff.

Your PT and your coach aren't running separate playbooks. They read the same intake and apply the same movement principles, so restoring better movement in the clinic and reinforcing it in training is one continuous plan, not a baton pass.

02

Direct access in Oregon: no referral required.

Skip the doctor's-office stop-over. Walk in, get assessed, start moving better. PT is cash-pay: only motor-vehicle-accident (PIP) insurance is billed.

03

Same practitioner every visit.

Continuity that compounds. Each session builds on the last because the same eyes track how your movement is changing, and consistency is what actually changes the body.

04

Long-arc, not quick-fix.

A few weeks of relief is fine. Decades of capability is the goal. Getting older doesn't mean giving things up. Members come in for one problem and stay for years because the system keeps progressing with them.

05

We read movement, not just imaging.

Imaging describes the structure. The movement assessment shows where your body is compensating and loading the wrong tissue. We work with what your body actually does, then restore it doing the right job.

What to expect

Get your week back from acl post-surgical recovery.

Walking without crutches: typically two to four weeks. Jogging: around twelve to sixteen weeks. Cutting and pivoting: six to nine months. Confident return-to-sport: usually nine to twelve months. We don't rush it. The four-month return is what causes the second tear. Exact timing varies with the knee and the sport.

Why the system works
  • Comprehensive assessment. Postural pictures, full movement screen, and a baseline you can measure progress against. Numbers, not vibes.
  • A plan built for your body.Shaped around your goals, your imaging, and what your body actually does, not what it's supposed to do.
  • Same practitioner, every visit. Continuity that compounds. The plan adjusts as your movement changes.
  • Reinforced until it sticks. As the pain quiets, the same system carries into classes and small-group training so the gains don't slide back.
