• The heel hurts, but the workaround usually starts at the calf, hip, and how you walk, so that's what we restore
  • Direct access in Oregon: no referral required
  • We build the tissue back up with progressive loading, not just stretch-and-hope

What you're feeling

Is plantar fasciitis & foot pain starting to shape what you'll do and what you skip?

The plantar fascia gets overloaded when the ankle won't bend, the hip won't stabilize, the calf goes stiff, footwear changes, or load spikes (a new running program, a week of vacation walking, a job change). The fascia is loud, but the chain above it usually wrote the script.

What we usually hear
  • A.Sharp heel pain in the first steps out of bed
  • B.Pain that eases as you warm up, then returns after sitting
  • C.Tenderness when you press the inside of the heel
  • D.Aching after long walks, runs, or standing shifts
  • E.Stiffness in the calf and Achilles tendon

How the system works

From your first visit to moving better for good.

01

Find it.

A 60-minute first visit with a PT or coach: postural pictures, a full movement assessment, baseline numbers. We find where your body is compensating, not just the joint that hurts.

02

Restore the movement.

Manual therapy, targeted programming, progressive loading, aimed at the movement vulnerability driving the pain, not around it. Same practitioner every visit, and the plan adjusts as your movement changes.

03

Reinforce it.

When your tissue can take it, the same system carries into classes and small-group training, reinforcing better movement about 3x a week until it's just how you live. Members come for relief and stay for years because the system keeps progressing.

How we work

Our approach to plantar fasciitis & foot pain.

Soft-tissue work for the calf and plantar fascia, joint mobilization for the ankle and big toe, and progressive loading for the foot, calves, and hips to reinforce it. We look at how you walk and what you walk in. The exercises start small and end with you handling real load.

I've been attending group fitness classes at ADAPT since 2019 and have experienced each class they offered. Since attending ADAPT, I have experienced less over-use injury and more comfort and confidence while hiking, backpacking and cycling. A big shout out to Carly, Caitlin, Jessica, Eric and Sheldon.

Why ADAPT

Five reasons members come, and stay for a decade.

ADAPT physical therapist guiding a client through knee mobility on a treatment table
01

One system, not a handoff.

Your PT and your coach aren't running separate playbooks. They read the same intake and apply the same movement principles, so restoring better movement in the clinic and reinforcing it in training is one continuous plan, not a baton pass.

02

Direct access in Oregon: no referral required.

Skip the doctor's-office stop-over. Walk in, get assessed, start moving better. PT is cash-pay: only motor-vehicle-accident (PIP) insurance is billed.

03

Same practitioner every visit.

Continuity that compounds. Each session builds on the last because the same eyes track how your movement is changing, and consistency is what actually changes the body.

04

Long-arc, not quick-fix.

A few weeks of relief is fine. Decades of capability is the goal. Getting older doesn't mean giving things up. Members come in for one problem and stay for years because the system keeps progressing with them.

05

We read movement, not just imaging.

Imaging describes the structure. The movement assessment shows where your body is compensating and loading the wrong tissue. We work with what your body actually does, then restore it doing the right job.

What to expect

Get your week back from plantar fasciitis & foot pain.

Members typically feel meaningful relief within four to eight weeks of consistent care. Stubborn cases can run three to six months. They usually settle once the underlying drivers are addressed, though it varies.

Why the system works
  • Comprehensive assessment. Postural pictures, full movement screen, and a baseline you can measure progress against. Numbers, not vibes.
  • A plan built for your body.Shaped around your goals, your imaging, and what your body actually does, not what it's supposed to do.
  • Same practitioner, every visit. Continuity that compounds. The plan adjusts as your movement changes.
  • Reinforced until it sticks. As the pain quiets, the same system carries into classes and small-group training so the gains don't slide back.
