A functional capacity screen compares a candidate's current abilities with the documented physical requirements of a job. ADAPT helps employers assess lifting, carrying, and endurance using a structured process.
Physically demanding roles have specific requirements that may be difficult to assess in an interview. A job-specific screen provides information about the tasks a candidate can perform and helps guide next steps in the hiring process.
Common concernsTell us about your goals and current needs. Our team can explain the assessment process and help you choose a starting point.
We document the lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and endurance demands of the role, then assess candidates against that profile. Findings are recorded consistently so your team can review them within your hiring process.

“It is times like this that I truly wish there was a 6 star option. From the initial visit to the coaches checking in with my progress after classes, I could not be happier with my ADAPT experience. They have exceeded all my expectations.”
“Sixty-eight years old. Came in for shoulder pain, stayed for the strength classes. The PT and the trainers are on the same team. Nobody else does that. My golf swing has never felt better.”
“I've been attending group fitness classes at ADAPT since 2019 and have experienced each class they offered. Since attending ADAPT, I have experienced less over-use injury and more comfort and confidence while hiking, backpacking and cycling. A big shout out to Carly, Caitlin, Jessica, Eric and Sheldon.”
